Custom Packaging for the
Electronics & Technology Sector

Electronics packaging is a $35 billion market driven by the global consumer electronics industry's relentless product cycle. Apple set a new standard for electronics packaging with the iPhone box, proving that the unboxing experience was a product feature — not an afterthought. Today, every consumer electronics brand competes on packaging as intensely as it competes on product specs.

Custom Packaging Built for Electronics & Technology

Electronics packaging is a $35 billion market driven by the global consumer electronics industry's relentless product cycle. Apple set a new standard for electronics packaging with the iPhone box, proving that the unboxing experience was a product feature — not an afterthought. Today, every consumer electronics brand competes on packaging as intensely as it competes on product specs.

Brisk Packaging serves technology brands from funded startups launching their first hardware product to established consumer electronics companies. Our electronics packaging solutions prioritise three things: protection (foam inserts, anti-static materials), presentation (premium rigid boxes, magnetic closures, clean minimalist design), and sustainability (recycled board, soy inks, plastic-free options).

Software and digital product packaging faces different challenges — it needs to communicate value in the absence of a physical product. Our software boxes use high-resolution printing to showcase UI screenshots, feature benefits, and premium visual design that justifies the price point and drives shelf purchases in retail environments.

Industry Packaging Trends

  • 1Minimalist packaging with single-colour printing reducing environmental footprint
  • 2Frustration-free packaging becoming mandatory for marketplace compliance
  • 3Foam-free sustainable cushioning using corrugated paper pulp inserts
  • 4Magnetic closure rigid boxes becoming the premium standard for headphones and wearables
  • 5In-box documentation going digital — QR codes replacing paper manuals

Expert Packaging Tips

  • Anti-static foam inserts are essential for sensitive circuit board and semiconductor products
  • Match your packaging aesthetic to your product UI — premium electronics demand premium packaging
  • Include a cable management tray or accessory compartment for multi-component products
  • Weight your box — dense, well-weighted packaging signals quality before the box is opened
  • Soft-touch lamination on tech boxes evokes the feel of anodised aluminium — premium by association

Electronics & Technology Packaging FAQs

Answers to common questions regarding logistics, materials, and ordering.

What type of inserts do you use for electronics packaging?
We offer custom-cut EVA foam, polyethylene foam, and pulp moulded inserts for electronics. For most consumer electronics, we recommend 25–40mm density EVA foam cut to the exact product shape with additional cavities for cables, chargers, and accessories. Anti-static foam is available for PCBs and sensitive electronic components.
Can you produce packaging that is Frustration-Free Packaging (FFP) certified?
Yes. We can produce packaging that meets Amazon FFP requirements — easy-to-open without scissors or box cutters, protects the product without excessive void fill, and is 100% recyclable. This is particularly valuable for products sold through Amazon where FFP compliance is increasingly required.
What board thickness do you recommend for tech product boxes?
For rigid electronics boxes (headphones, wearables, gaming peripherals), we recommend 2mm–2.5mm chipboard for the outer structure with foam inserts inside. For folding carton electronics (cables, accessories, software), 350–400gsm SBS board with matte or gloss lamination provides excellent print quality and structural rigidity.
Can you produce eco-friendly packaging for tech brands?
Yes. Many tech brands are moving away from plastic foam to paper pulp inserts, corrugated card inserts, or shredded recycled paper cushioning. We also offer boxes made from 100% recycled board with soy inks — Apple has made this mainstream, and consumers now expect sustainability from tech packaging.
